Why You Should Be Doing This Exercise
Why do single leg's instead of just both simultaneously? Because one leg at a time leaves no room to hide as single leg RDL's will allow to really focus on each hamstring as a separate entity. The winner in all of this? Interestingly enough, it's you and your explosiveness.

Start
If you want to start with your right leg, then grab a dumbbell (if that's what you chose) with both hands, and lift your left leg up off of the ground. Your right leg should be slightly bent, and you're ready to go.

Middle
Keeping your back straight, and the dumbbells in-line with the toes of your right foot, slowly bend down towards the floor. Think about your left leg going back into the air as you go to the ground, and coming back to the ground as you stand upright.

Finish
Once you come a few inches from the ground and feel the stretch in your hamstring, slowly return to the starting position. The lowest you wanna go by the way is your back parallel to the floor. And, for the sake of being thorough, your back is straight throughout.

Key Don'ts
The hamstrings will do the bar lowering. Your back won't. A little bend at the knees should help with both of these things. Also, your arms will play no role here. They remain straight and ineffective. Look, this is gonna require some balance. That's a part of the gig. So take your time and remain balanced.
